Amy DeGirolamo, DPM, FACFAS, CWSP
Dr. Amy DeGirolamo is a board-certified foot and ankle surgeon and certified wound specialist with over 21 years of clinical experience. She is a partner at Florida Foot and Ankle Associates in Miami, FL, where she specializes in advanced treatment options, including MLS laser therapy and Swift microwave therapy. She also provides cutting edge Swift therapy for wart treatments and utilizes the Aerolase nd:YAG 1064nm laser. A graduate of Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine, she earned her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree in 2001. She completed an intensive three-year surgical residency at the Baltimore Veterans Affairs Medical Center, with rotations at the University of Maryland Medical Center/Shock Trauma, Bethesda National Naval Hospital, and Womack Army Medical Center.
Dr. DeGirolamo is board certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery and the American Board of Wound Management. She is a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and a member of the American Professional Wound Care Association. She is also a certified wound specialist physician.
Previously a partner at North Mississippi Foot Specialists, she also served four years as Secretary/Treasurer of the Mississippi state component of the APMA. Dr. DeGirolamo now serves as a voluntary assistant professor in the Department of Surgery at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. She has participated in medical mission trips to Jamaica and the Dominican Republic.
